About

“My work is a process of social deconstruction:
looking beyond appearances, beyond what is conventional or supposedly known.

As such, celebrities are one of my favorite subjects: we rub shoulders with them, we think we know them, we think they are familiar.
Instead, they are complete strangers, whose depth and complexity are just waiting to be exposed, explored, exploded.”

My mission is to bring an original perspective to what everyone can see.
Coloring it, saturating it, distorting it: in the creative space, anything becomes possible.

bio

Pellarose is a multifaceted artist whose artistic journey began at a young age. Originally from Lyon, France, he quickly immersed himself in the world of photography. Captivated by the bold lines and vibrant colors of urban architecture, he developed a unique artistic sensibility, where geometric shapes and the play of light take center stage.

In his “Celebrities” series, Pellarose explores another facet of his art by deconstructing the image of popular culture icons. Inspired by figures such as Victor Hugo’s Gavroche, he seeks to reveal the truth hidden behind appearances. Kate Moss, the fashion icon, becomes much more than a glamorous figure for him. Through his portraits, he explores the contradictions and vulnerabilities of this iconic figure, showing her in a new light, far removed from the usual clichés.

Ultimately, Pellarose’s work is a quest for truth and beauty in a complex and often superficial world. Through his striking images, he invites us to question our perceptions and discover the richness hidden in every detail of our daily reality.

The deconstruction of appearances is at the heart of my artistic approach. Stealing and revealing.
